Bangkok MRT Purple Line
The MRT Purple Line currently consists of 16 stations with one of them being shared with the Blue Line. Further extension of the line is currently on the way. The Purple Line connects the northwestern areas of Bangkok with the city center due to its convenient connection with the MRT Blue Line.
The MRT Purple Line is well connected with other Bangkok metro systems. The line connects with the MRT Blue Line of the same service provider as well as the city’s other mass rapid transit systems, such as the SRT Red Line and the MRT Pink Line.
However, you can buy one ticket for the entire trip only if you transfer to the MRT Blue Line, as all other metro systems require you to buy separate tickets.
Bangkok MRT Purple Line Fare
Bangkok MRT Purple Line fare for a single journey ticket, which is valid for a single journey, depends on the distance (the number of stations traveled). Tickets on the MRT Purple Line cost from 14 THB to 42 THB per journey.
Important update! The maximum fare for the ride on the MRT Purple Line train is temporarily decreased to 20 THB. The lowered price is valid until 30 November 2025.
If your journey requires a change between the Blue and Purple lines, currently MRT fare can go up to 71 THB. Until 30 November 2025, the maximum fare on connecting journey is 51 THB.
