The MRT Blue Line currently consists of 38 stations scattered around the city, as this Bangkok metro line was significantly expanded in recent years. It connects major business, residential, and cultural areas of Bangkok.
The MRT Blue Line is well connected with other Bangkok metro systems. The line connects with the MRT Purple Line of the same service provider as well as the city’s other mass rapid transit systems, such as the BTS Green Line, the Airport Rail Link, the SRT Red Line, and the MRT Yellow Line.
However, you can buy one ticket for the entire trip only if you transfer to the MRT Purple Line, as all other metro systems require you to buy separate tickets.

The current MRT Blue Line Bangkok price is from 17 THB to 45 THB for a single journey. If your journey requires a transfer to the MRT Purple Line, the total fare can go up to 71 THB.
According to the announcement by Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited, operating the Blue and the Purple lines, the new MRT Blue Line fare rates are effective from 3 July 2024 to 2 July 2026.
